I make my chimes from beads, beach findings collected over the course of months and pottery shards from the glazedOver studio. Each item is wound with thick copper wire and hung from a beautiful specimen of unaltered driftwood.
I like this shot especially, because not only can you see my husband’s shadow as he holds the wind chime and mine as I crouch in the sand to take the photo, but you can also see a game of volleyball in progress in the background.
And here’s another photo which calls for a closer look.

Do you see the brown fabric of the bag that my husband was chivalrous enough to hold for me? That’s a glimpse of the most deliciously comfortable, beautiful backpack made by Yael Eshkar of PazzaPazza. You can see more of her backpacks on her blog (which I highly recommend you follow – she is a breath of fresh air!). Yael’s backpacks are the epitome of functional beauty!

Oh Jill Jill Jill - thank you!
The photos are so beautiful, I always liked your chimes, I love everything that can be hung somewhere, from a tree, from the ceiling, from a window, just love that! I string stones and hang them, I string beads and hang them, I string shells and hang them, I string dried stuff I collect on our outings and hang it - and just now I string birds and yoyos with beads and buttons to hang them!!
Chibukim gdolim!!!
That chime where you see the most irresistible peek of Yael's stunning bag is my favorite chime--I love the variety of glass and shell and ceramic!
...but the other...it's casting it's spell on me as I type...
Jill, these new pictures are great, and really show off the beauty you have created!

You've found the perfect solution for photographing the chimes! These are just wonderful with the beautiful blue backgrounds and the other fun tidbits sneaking in! Bravo, Jill!
Jill, I am looking again and again at those beautiful photographs!!! The blue sky, the sand, the ocean - it ties it all so great together with the lovely chimes - I can even hear the clicking sounds in the light breeze at the beach! And I marvel at the shadows...

The first photo, as seen on craftgawker.com, is stunning! I love how the little bits and pieces look together with the water behind them.
